Visa
support
No visa is required for pupils from any EU or EEA country or for Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Mexico, Monaco, San Marino, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, The USA and one or two other countries. More info.
You can check to see if a visa is required for your country here. If your child requires a visa you should apply for a Standard Visitor Visa which costs GBP95. This permits entry to the UK for study up to six months. Apply online here.
To assist with your application, if your child requires a visa ECS will, after receiving your booking and deposit payment, on request, send a Letter of Confirmation to you containing the following:
* The full name and date of birth of the child, with passport number if provided.
* The start and finish dates of the course and the full address of the centre where your child will be staying.
* Confirmation that the course fees include airport transfers, full residential accommodation, travel and medical insurance, 15 x 1hr English lessons per week and an organised activity programme.
* Confirmation that ECS - English Country Schools - has government-approved accreditation.
The earliest you can apply for a visa is three months before the date of travel. Visa applications can take several weeks to process and longer to correct mistakes. If your child requires a visa you are advised to apply as soon as permitted.
