London Explorer Weekend
Friday 15 - Sunday 17 July 2022
Please note our 15 - 17 July London Weekend trip is now full. We are arranging a second trip, 12 - 14 August. Please enquire for details.
For an opportunity to experience this great city we have arranged a two-night hotel stay close to London’s South Bank and a short distance from some of the most visited landmarks such as Tate Modern, Shakespeare’s Globe and The Shard.
The cost of GBP 495 includes bed and breakfast accommodation in the hotel, sightseeing river tour, packed lunches, Friday and Saturday evening meals and transport by train between London and the school. Supervision is by our own teachers with a staff:pupil ratio of at least 1:6.
The precise itinerary will be decided in consultation with pupils and will include sightseeing, shopping, a cultural visit to a museum or gallery and a trip on the River Thames from Tower Bridge to Westminster.
Our London Explorer sightseeing trip is open to all pupils attending ECS aged 13 – 17 on the weekends of 15 - 17 July and 12 - 14 August. Places are limited and can be booked through your online account or when you make your main booking for the course.
Stonehenge
The world-famous prehistoric monument of Stonehenge, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is about 45 minutes from the school. It has a brand new mutlimillion pound visitor experience centre. In order to avoid weekend crowds we arrange mid-week visits for our pupils aged 11+ who wish to go. There is a charge of £27 to cover the cost of admission and transport.
