Choosing an English summer course
Choosing an English language summer school is a big decision. For many pupils it is the first time they have been away from their family for more than a night or two, it might also be the first time travelling alone or with a sibling by train or plane to another country.
There are a lot of options out there and it can be difficult to know how to choose the best English language and activity summer camp for your child or teenager.
That's why we try to share as much information about our course across our website to help you get to know ECS and see if it is the right option for you. You can find information about our summer camp location and accommodation, our summer camp English language lessons, social programme, sports activities and local sightseeing trips, as well as why we think ECS is a great choice for children and teenagers.

How to choose an English language summer course
If you are unsure how to pick the best English summer camp for your child, we have a few suggestions on what to look out for and ask. Apply these criteria to your shortlist of summer schools and you will hopefully find the one that is right for your child.
Safety and wellbeing at ECS
We are a caring school. Our experienced and thoughtful team works hard to ensure every pupil is safe and happy on our courses - from the moment we meet our pupils at the train station or airport in London, throughout our lessons, trips and activities, to the moment we say goodbye back at the train station or airport.

Visa support
It is important to check whether you need a visa to join our residential English summer camp, especially if you are not from an EU or EEA country.
We cannot arrange a visa on your behalf, but we can support your application with a letter confirming the details of your course.

Information for agents
We welcome bookings for individuals and small groups from agents around the world. If your young clients are looking for a friendly and varied general English summer camp, ECS might be the right option.
Our courses for international children and teenagers are British Council accredited and include a huge range of sports, trips and activities, as well as 15 hours of English language lessons each week.
