I believe we create a very special learning environment for the young people in our care. We offer professional, accredited courses during which children and teenagers learn a lot of English. They have fun, make new international friendships, broaden their horizons and increase their self-confidence.
Our schools are situated in some of England’s finest countryside. They provide a safe, healthy location for a wide variety of supervised sports and activities, with many historic and cultural attractions in the locality.
We run separate courses for three different age groups, 7 - 10, 11 - 14 and 14 - 17. This enables us to match levels of care and content to the age, interests and ability of our students.
During the summer Sarah and I live at Port Regis and visit Sibford weekly to try to ensure the highest standards. As parents, we understand the concern you feel for your child away from home. Contact us whenever you want and we will deal with you personally and directly.
Children and teenagers return healthy and refreshed from our courses. Christopher and Sarah Etchells have directed English Country Schools for over 20 years. Sarah holds an NNEB in child care. Christopher holds an Honours degree in English and the Royal Society of Arts Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language.
