Supervision and Safety

The British Council
English Country Schools have been running for over 20 years and are Accredited by The British Council. Inspectors visit the schools to examine the premises, teaching, food, welfare, etc. This encourages excellence and ensures that your child will be well taught and cared for.

24 hour supervision
Students are under the constant care and attention of experienced staff from arrival to departure. There is a 1:8 staff:student ratio. Safety is an absolute priority. Each boarding house has its own House Parent to oversee the supervision and welfare of the children. The atmosphere is friendly and caring and a local doctor is available 24 hours. English UK
English Country Schools are a member of the language teaching association English UK. Membership provides additional safeguards and benefits for students.  
 
Appraisal and regular reporting
Students are consulted weekly about their lessons and there is a Student Council where they are encouraged to voice opinions on all aspects of their stay. This helps to ensure high standards on an ongoing, daily basis. Parents receive weekly electonic reports on their child's progress.
 
Parental contacts
A list of parental contacts worldwide is available. Any of the parents will be willing to discuss their child’s experience of the course.
