Trinity GESE
ECS is an accredited centre for the Trinity Graded Exam in Spoken English. Pupils aged 11+ can choose to prepare and sit this internationally recognised test to prove their attainment in speaking and listening in English.
The Trinity GESE is a 'graded' exam so if candidates are entered at the correct level (which we will try to ensure through our mediation) they will succeed and achieve a useful qualification.
Pupils can prepare for the test online or at the school during the summer. To book a place please follow this link.
Pupils who wish to prepare online can sit the actual test at the school or we can sometimes arrange for them to sit the test at a school in their locality.
Pupils who prefer to prepare at the school will join a special preparation workshop. The cost of the preparation class and test is modest. Places are limited and will be offered in the order of applications received.
Not everyone wants to take exams during their summer holidays, but if they wish to do so this can help motivate them to mix and speak English among the various nationalities on the course, to everyone's benefit.
All GESE grades hold the ALTE Q-mark and have been calibrated to the Common European Framework of Reference (PDF, 401KB).
