London!!!

Today all the students went to London. They had the option to do 1 of 3 things; London Eye, River Cruise or, for the first time, Camden markets. Camden was quite popular as I think many of our returning students had been on the Eye or River Cruise before. It sounds like everyone had a great day and they all made it back safely which is always nice!!! Everyone is now watching 2012 in the Oliver Studio and I think they are all pretty tired. Week 2 of lessons is also done and we jhad a British Council inspection last week. The inspectors watched some lessons and spoke to a group of students and the inspectors told me they were very impressed with all the students that they saw in lessons and spoke to which was great to hear but not surprising to us. We really do have a great group of students here this year and if this last week goes the same way as the first 2, it will definitely be the most well behaved group that I have seen in my four years with ECS....I hope I still think the same way this time next week!!! We have a new member of staff starting with us tomorrow, Rachel, who will be assisting with the activities. Sadly, Gosia will be leaving us as she has to start training for a new full-time job. Gosia has done an amazing job as sports leader and house parent and she will be missed greatly by the staff and the students. Good luck Gosia...
