End of the first 'proper' day at Port Regis

After the excitement of arrivals, placement testing, trips to Bath and Longleat and a whole range of activities to keep everyone occupied, English Country Schools' Port Regis 2010 is now full steam ahead.
The first full day is coming to a close. The whole school are out playing in a football tournament and as I left the junior Blairs were drawing 1-1 with the junior Churchills, and the senior Thatchers had just beaten the senior Camerons; 10 points for guessing the theme of this year's houses!

It's been an amazing day in Dorset; sunshine all day and all of the children have finally discovered who their classmates and teachers are going to be for the week.
The sports programme has got underway with a selection of 'very British' sports, all of which were invented by us but which we are noticeably not very good at! Tennis, badminton, table tennis, football, golf and, of course, cricket!

Everyone has settled in well and some of the children have decided that they want to help out with the cooking, much to the delight of the catering staff!
Let's hope that the weather holds!
